Chandigarh, October 21 The National General-Secretary of the All India Congress Committee, former Union Minister, and former state president of the Haryana Committee, Kumari Selja, said that the BJP-JJP coalition government in Haryana, which has been drowning the state in unemployment for 9 years, is now coming up with electoral gimmicks in the name of providing jobs. It is evident from the government's intentions that this government is only and only a government of opportunism. The BJP government neither cares about the current situation in Haryana nor the future of the youth. There is widespread resentment among the people of the state against the current government, which has failed miserably in education, health, and employment.
In a statement released to the media, Kumari Selja said that the BJP government, which had come to power promising to end unemployment and bring extensive improvements in education and health sectors, immediately forgot about education, health, and employment as soon as it came to power.
The BJP government has recruited for 71,046 positions from 2014 to 2019, of which 50% of the recruitment was done in election years, and from 2019 to the present, the Haryana government has only provided jobs to the state's youth on 30,734 positions. Now, with the elections approaching, the state government has announced new recruitment for 50,000 positions, making it clear that the Manohar Lal government is only an opportunistic government. There is immense anger among the people of the state against the current government, which has failed in education, health, and employment.
She said that every time there is an election in the state, the people raise the issues of inflation and unemployment with the politicians and ask, "What have you done?" The year 2023-24 is an election year, so the government is suddenly remembering recruitment. This government is proving to be a government of empty promises. With elections approaching, the state government has announced new recruitment for 50,000 positions, clearly showing that this government only knows how to capitalize on opportunities. It is neither concerned about the current situation in Haryana nor the future of the youth. With confidence, she stated that the people of the state are no longer falling for the BJP's propaganda. They are well aware of the BJP's actions, and the government's betrayal of the people in education, health, and employment has not gone unnoticed.
